The History
It is on June the 26th of 2005, that met together, under the impulse of the Belgian Federation, all the Federations member of the European Union affiliated to C.M.A.S.
The working group set up at the 5th and 6th of February meeting has asked the Belgian Federation to organize a General Assembly in order to create CMAS EUROPE
This was held at the Sheraton Hotel of Brussels Airoport.
The main idea was to create an European organization that will be the best interlocutor to the European Institutions for the promotion and the defense of all the underwater activities against the European Commission, something that C.M.A.S. due to its worldwide status, could not do.
